Do you love using WhatsApp? But feeling cryptic about how to recover your deleted WhatsApp messages data? If this is the case then there is nothing to worry about because today, in this blog, we will give you a quick walk through to explain how to retrieve WhatsApp data.
Since, WhatsApp is the most vividly used cross platform messaging app, this means it allows users to share media instantly including videos, images, voice messages and recordings.
Most of the times, it also happens that you delete a sent message on WhatsApp and lose your messages, videos or photos mistakenly. But, there is a solution for this.
Check Does Anyone Else Has A copy?
It might be easier than you think, if you found one of your contact who has the copy of your deleted items. For example, if you upload a picture and then remove it for you but someone definitely have that picture in your group chat or private chat.
Ask that person to send it back and do remember that when you tap “Delete for me” it doesn’t mean it’s gone for everyone else.
Restore Data From Backup
In case, if no one in your friends is able to send back the lost images then you can simply restore your lost image from backup. Fortunately, not just Android, but WhatsApp iOS also support backup. (Respectively to Google Drive and iCloud). Restoring your lost messages could be your best bet when it’s not too long to delete the messages.
Note: to do this, you are required to enable your backup feature before removing your image.
How to Activate Backup Feature?
You can start from navigating Settings > Chats > Chat Backup. Soon, you’ll see information about the latest backup ran and how often you are required to back up your data.
In case, if you deleted images since your last backup, you can uninstall WhatsApp from your device and reinstall it from App store or Google play. You will need to reconfirm your phone number then you’ll see a notification to restore your data from a backup, if there is one. Accept it and soon your Deleted WhatsApp Messages will restore all your messages same as they were before backup.
Install Android WhatsApp Recovery Application
You need to download, install and run this application. Once you are done with the installation, you must connect your Android device to your personal computer using a USB cable.
Note: often it has been noticed that when you connect Android to the personal computer via USB then it may not connected. In this case, you have to check if the device has been debugged for USB.
Use Android Files to Scan Your WhatsApp Data
Luckily, if your Android device has been detected through the application, you can view all files from main window. Now you need to locate ‘WhatsApp’ and
“WhatsApp attachments”. Once you are done with this, now locate “Next” and click on it. This will allow you to scan.
When scanning will be completed, you will get back every data in your window. Make sure to locate “only display items” icons and then click on it. You can find it at the upper corner of this application platform. When you found it just click at “recover” and you will soon get the images and videos you have deleted by mistake.
